A graffiti artist who had 18 spray paint cans in his backpack told police he’d been painting in drains under a busy road.
Timothy Brian Bishop pleaded guilty at Pine Rivers Magistrate Court to possessing spray paint for graffiti.

At about 12.30pm on Monday, April 13 police stopped Bishop and another person walking along a street in Brendale.
He was carrying a metal pole and wearing a backpack.
When talking to police Bishop told them they had been in the drains under Linkfield Rd painting graffiti.
Police searched Bishop’s backpack and found 18 used cans of spray paint inside.
Bishop, a storeman from Strathpine, told the court he had “nothing to add” to the events of the day.
He was fined $300.
