An Ipswich man who has failed to show up for court hearings eight times was refused bail after not showing up to court when his car broke down.
Heath Moir, of Redbank Plains, applied for bail in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Friday.
The court heard Mr Moir is facing charges of drug possession at the Brisbane Supreme Court and was meant to appear on those charges on Wednesday, July 15.
But he did not do so.

Mr Moir told the court he had been driving to court when the fuel pump on his car broke in Carseldine.
He said he contacted the lawyers representing him but the message did get to the court where a warrant was issued for his arrest.
When he went to collect his car the next day he was arrested.
Police opposed his release on bail, pointing to his long history of failing to show up for court dates.
The court heard he had been convicted of failing to appear at court seven times in the past.
Magistrate Melanie Ho declared Mr Moir was an unacceptable risk of failing to appear at future court hears. He was refused bail.
