Hottest Brisbane northside houses by sale price revealed

The hottest houses on Brisbane’s northside have been revealed. Extravagant pools, tennis courts and more — we take a look at some of the top sales in recent years. SEE THE FULL LIST

Australia's most expensive houses...

Lavish designs, extravagant pools and tennis courts, we’ve trawled through sales data to find some of the northside’s most expensive real estate.

At the top of our list is a $13.14 million stunner bought by Troy and Caroline Daffy.

A property in Clayfield changed hands earlier this year with car enthusiast Mark Jansen picking it up for a cool $8.4 million.

An Ashgrove property with an incredible view of the city, bought by Lantea Pty Ltd for $5.95 million, tested new records for that suburb.

Real estate agent, Alistair Macmillan Brisbane had just experienced the best market on record.

“The market is still very strong but it’s back to a normal market with a normal demand,” Mr Macmillan said

He said the main things buyers were searching for in a property was for it to be ready to move into.

“They are after fine, key, finished properties that require no renovations at all,’’ he said.

“The ones that do require renovations, there is a risk attached with some concern that the builder might go broke.’’

Property size was another factor in the current market.

“There’s a big demand for larger blocks at the moment,’’ he said.

“There’s heaps of houses with tennis blocks and large areas of space.”
