Heath Buckley identified as Scarborough motorcycle crash victim
A Brisbane mother has shared a harrowing tribute to her son, who died on a weekend motorcycle ride.

A Lutwyche man has been identified as the victim of fatal motorcycle crash at the bayside suburb of Scarborough at the weekend, with his mother sharing a heartbreaking tribute from the family.
According to police, Heath Buckley, 43, was riding a white Yamaha along Scarborough Rd in Scarborough when he collided with a blue BMW car at the intersection of Maryborough Terrace about 3pm, on Sunday, October 30.
Both vehicles were travelling south at the time of the crash.
Mr Buckley suffered critical injuries and despite the efforts of bystanders, he died at the scene.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Mr Buckley’s mother, Susan Buckley, has shared the tragic news on Facebook.
“As parents this will be the most difficult task we have ever faced,” she wrote online.
“Facebook has provided us with a platform to bring you our tragic news.
“Heath’s friends are far and wide so this was the way we, as his family, chose to deliver the news of his passing.”
Mrs Buckley relayed her son’s involvement in the Scarborough accident on Sunday.
“He could not be revived,” she wrote online.
“He was a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin to us all. Our hearts are broken.
“He will leave a gap in our lives.
“As you all know he lived large.”
A friend of Mr Buckley’s said she couldn’t believe the news.
“We heard through another friend last night but refused to believe it,” she said.
“We are devastated that he has left us.”
