A total of 22 clubs from as far north as Cairns and out to Mount Isa took to the stage to collect 28 trophies recognising outstanding achievements ranging from impressive community support to Manager of the Year.

Other standout venues from the southeast to join the stage were from Caboolture, Ipswich, and the Sunshine Coast.

Club Services Ipswich took home the coveted Heart of the Community Award for its Helping Our Future Today program, which provides essential support to disadvantaged families and children.

From supplying hot breakfasts to schoolchildren to offering toiletry packs for foster care families, the club’s dedication to giving back set it apart.

In the sporting categories, Caboolture Sports Club was crowned Best Sports Club, showcasing its strong connection with local teams and athletes.

Club Helensvale, known for its top-tier bowling facilities and strong community presence, won Best Bowls Club, while Brothers Leagues Club Cairns took out Best Football Club for its dedication to supporting rugby league in Far North Queensland.

Beyond the southeast, the competition was fierce, with top awards spread across the state with Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast scooping up a share of accolades.

Clubs Queensland CEO Kelly Egan praised all the winners and finalists, highlighting the exceptional contributions clubs make to their communities.

“These clubs continually go above and beyond, not only for their members but for the broader community,” Mr. Egan said. “Whether it’s through providing essential services, fostering social connections, or supporting sports and local initiatives, clubs remain at the heart of Queensland’s community life.”

He also noted the unique role clubs play in the hospitality sector, where their commitment extends beyond commercial success to meaningful community impact.

“This is what sets clubs apart — whether it’s fundraising, sponsorships, or creating safe, welcoming environments, clubs have a deep-rooted charter to give back,” he added.

With over 1,200 community clubs operating in Queensland, boasting a combined 4.1 million memberships and employing more than 34,000 people, the industry plays a crucial role in the state’s economy. Clubs generate over $2.5 billion in economic activity annually, with a significant portion reinvested into community programs and infrastructure.

Now in its 26th year, the Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence continue to honour clubs that embody the spirit of community service while excelling in entertainment, hospitality, and sports support.
