If you’ve been looking for something to help shake up your gym routine, you’re in luck – a new gym has been proposed for Boondall.
A development application has been lodged for a Fitstop gym at 73 Zillmere Road, Boondall, next to Boondall Early Childhood Centre.
The 300sqm project, designed by Verve Building Design, involves modifying an existing building for the proposed gym fitout, which includes two new bathrooms, kitchen, gym space, a reception area and deck.
If approved, there will be 39 carparking spaces, with car and pedestrian access from Zillmere Road.
Landscaping will be provided and will include a variety of shrubs and small trees along the proposed boundaries of the gym.
The popular gym franchise, which specialises in functional group training, was started in Brisbane in 2013.
Fast forward nine years and Fitstop has become one of Queensland’s biggest gym franchises. Fitstop currently has 85 gyms across the state.
Just last week a new Fitstop gym opened up at Morayfield.
The Boondall development is yet to be approved by Brisbane City Council.
