High school sweethearts of over 10 years have finally brought their passion for health and fitness to fruition with the launch of their new business just north of Brisbane.
Allison Rossel, 26, and Shaun Holden, 27, opened a new Fitstop gym at Morayfield over the weekend.
The couple met through friends while attending Grace Lutheran College and Clontarf Beach State High School 10 years ago.
The duo have been planning their new business ventures for the past two years, wanting to expand in their fitness careers and lead an inspiring business of their own.
Miss Rossel said the opening was very successful with over 100 locals turning up.
“We’ve always been very motivated as a couple, and we both have a great love for our community having grown up in the north Brisbane area,” she said.
“Our passion for health and fitness suddenly became a dedicated mission over the past two years, to launch a business that had a positive impact on our community and help create happier, healthier humans.”
Mr Holden said it was a dream come true to launch their first business together.
“We want Fitstop to contribute to the community, providing a fun way to train, and unleashing everyone’s inner-athlete in the process,” he said.
“Members will enjoy training programs to keep you on track and end in Game Days and celebration. It’s the right fit for the Morayfield community.
“We kept getting told that we’re young to be business owners, but we’re both bold and driven.”
Mr Holden said it was the technology which drew them to the franchise.
“Members have access to custom-built in-app technology, allowing for working out whenever and wherever you are located, even if you can’t get down to us in person,” he said.
“It means we know our members will get value from their membership.”
The gym is located at the Morayfield Super Centre at 312-344 Morayfield Road.
“It was a fantastic turn out from the community,” Miss Rossel said.
“We had our first two sessions completely booked out, so we had to extend the capacity to allow more.
“Our family and friends had been asking us how we thought we would go, being on our own, but they were also overwhelmed by the success of our first day.
“We’re still being contacted and congratulated, it’s a dream come true for both of us.”
