She was also part of the 4 x 100m relay team that placed fourth and ran a personal best time in her 100m sprint.
Her performances continued an outstanding 18 month period after winning multiple state championship gold medals across three disciplines — javelin, discus and shot put — in either Queensland athletics, little athletics or the Queensland school sports competitions.
On the national stage, she competed at the national titles in Sydney and was a stunning performer.
After placing third in the under-15 javelin, Keefe backed it up with a silver medal winning effort in the discus. She also made two other finals, in the shot put and 90m hurdles.
Keefe, a Bracken Ridge Little Athletics junior who also competes with the QE II club, also won gold at the Australian All Schools in discus after claiming second and third at the Australian championships.
Domestically in the CaSSSA Cup athletics meet late in August, Keefe broke a 30- year javelin record and a 23- year-old discus award.
