The votes have been counted and Quest News can now announce the best mechanic in North Brisbane.

Aztech Automotive at Brendale has won the best mechanic title for Moreton and North Brisbane.

Owner Aaron Cicino grew up at Albany Creek and now lives in Strathpine with his partner Claire and their three daughters.

He started his apprenticeship back in 2002, and after completing that co-owned a mechanic workshop at Everton Park.

Since then he started Aztech Automotive in 2015, which moved to its current location at 232 Leitchs Road, Brendale in November 2020.

Mr Cicino said he loves what he does.

“I opened my own mechanic business because I wanted to provide people with a loyal mechanic who treats their cars like my own, takes pride in their work and doesn’t rip people off,” he said.

“We moved to the new workshop as our business grew and we needed more space.

“I’m honestly so humbled about having won best local mechanic on the Northside of Brisbane. I wasn’t aware we had been nominated until we saw the finalised list and it’s just truly an honour that our amazing customers have nominated us.”

Mr Cicino said the Aztech Automotive team takes pride in quality work and customer service. “Our motto is old school mechanic for the new aged car,” he said.

“I love cars and have been working on cars with my dad since I was 7 years old. Having a number of cars, myself, I just really wanted to do what I love everyday which is fix cars.

“I also love people so it’s an honour to be able to do what I love every day and have long term happy customers.

“I love the variety of cars I get to work on day in day out and I love our customers; I love the relationships we have formed and how the trust us with their everyday car and their pride and joy. We also have great relationships with major suppliers and service a lot of fleet cars for local companies.

“What is better then going to work everyday in an industry I am passionate about and get to talk to amazing people day in day out?”

Mr Cicino employees four staff and are currently looking for another qualified mechanic to join the team.

“We would love to put on more local mechanics to grow our team so we can do more specialised work with 4x4 and old tough cars,” he said.

“We really are a one stop shop, we provide logbook servicing, all mechanical repairs, specialise in 4x4 modifications such as suspension, lift kits, snorkel installation, 4x4 bars, road worthy certificates, wheels and tyres, old school cars.

“There isn’t much we don’t do!”
