The motorcyclist who died in a tragic crash in Brisbane’s north has been identified as Bracken Ridge man Ashley Kleinig.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle motorcycle accident at Brighton on Wednesday afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle lost control and left the road at the Bracken Ridge Rd southbound off-ramp about 3.20pm.

Paramedics responded to the incident but Mr Kleinig died at the scene.

His death has left his loved ones in shock, still struggling to process the 34-year-old’s sudden passing.

He leaves behind his mother Carolyn Paterson, father Kevin Kleinig, sister Jess and brothers Damien and Tristan.

His devastated sister Jess Kleinig described her brother as “caring, kind and passionate”.

“He had a beautiful, gentle soul,” she said.

“(He was) passionate about food, cooking, cars and motorbikes.

“He really took pride in his work.

“He was pretty happy-go-lucky most of the time.”

Family was really important to the kitchen hand who had five nieces and three nephews.

He also recently became a great uncle, a role he relished in.

“He loved having a laugh with his nieces and nephews, family was important to him,” Ms Kleinig said.

“As a brother, he loved to chat and he was always reliable.

“He always had an opinion on the food I ate.

“And he was right into lifestyle eating and avoiding certain foods, he researched everything, which was part of his Asperger's, he was very focused on his interests.”

Ms Kleinig told Quest Newspapers that the shocking news really “makes you cherish each day.”

She said the family, who are partly based in South Australia, was trying to figure out how to come together.

“Our dad and youngest brother Tristan live in South Australia and (are) taking it pretty hard unable to be up here,” she said.

“(They’re) unsure if they can get here because of Covid restrictions.”

Mr Kleinig, originally from Robertstown in South Australia, grew up in Brisbane and attended Bracken Ridge State High School.

The beloved motorcycle enthusiast worked at the Mon Komo hotel in Redcliffe for almost 10 years.

Tributes have also started pouring out on social media for the 34-year-old.

Gamu Chard wrote: “Rest in Peace Ashley Kleinig. Gone but not forgotten.”

Susannah Fisher said “Rest in peace Ash, my heart is heavy hearing this news.”

Mindy Bindy wrote to Mr Kleinig’s family saying, “I‘m so sorry for your loss, thinking of you and your family and sending lots of love.”

Ms Kleinig also wanted to pay tribute to the first responders who helped her brother.

“To the witness who found him, thank you,” she said.

“The police said where he was located, it would be unlikely he would have been found for sometime.”

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Anyone with dashcam footage, who saw a black Triumph motorcycle travelling south on the Deagon Deviation around 3.20pm, is urged to contact police.
