She is now aiming to retain her national title at the Australian championships to be held in Perth during December.
Tignani, a Bracken Ridge Little Athletics member, last month claimed yet another javelin record at the QGSSSA athletic’s meet.
Tignani, a bashful national javelin champion, said she was learning to live with the pressure of being No. 1 ranked in her discipline.
Tignani was originally a runner but she started javelin after her coach from Beaudesert, Des Davis, recommended it to her.
She, who originally started at Algester Little Athletics, said her career took off at the 2017 national titles.
Her success follows a string of elite performances by Bracken Ridge Little Athletic products at the Queensland School titles.
Mt Alvernia student Jemma Keefe won two field gold medals while St Joseph’s Nudgee College student Ashley Wong was a stunning performer.
Wong, a junior from the Bracken Ridge Little Athletics Club who now runs for Nudgee College and QUT Athletics, smashed the 15 years and under 16 200m records and also ran a series of sub 11 second times in the 100m competition.
