Windaroo motorcycle crash victim James Ferguson remembered by family

A motorcyclist has been remembered by family and friends as a “loved dad and grandfather” after he was tragically killed in an accident in Logan on the weekend.

Tributes are flowing for a beloved Moreton grandfather after he was tragically killed in a motorbike crash on the weekend.

Whiteside’s James (Jim) Ferguson, 60, was riding on Friday morning, May 26, in Windaroo when he was killed.

Police said it appeared Mr Ferguson had been overtaking a truck and trailer on the left-hand side of the intersection of Beaudesert Beenleigh Rd and Carl Heck Blvd about 11.40am when he lost control and fell, before he and the truck collided.

Friends and family took to Facebook to share their tributes to their beloved friend.

“(He was) a very seasoned rider since a teenager,” Sue Nielsen posted.

“(He was a) loved dad and grandfather and great friend to many.

“He will be greatly missed, an unfortunate accident.”

Mr Ferguson’s cousin, Susanne, shared a photo of him and a tribute.

“I lost my cousin today in a motorcycle accident,” she posted.

“RIP James … may you be at peace now. Life is never fair.”

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
