Giant indoor play centre opening in Brisbane

Moreton Bay is set to be the newest location for a popular children’s venue after the owners of Queensland’s largest indoor play centre revealed plans for a second location.

Jungle Tribe Pty Ltd lodged a development application on January 9 to build a Jungle Adventure Play centre at 2 McLennan Court, North Lakes.

It would be the sister facility of the existing facility at 31 Proprietary Street, Tingalpa, opened back in 2021.

The proposal includes a two-level building with a floor area of 3,805 sqm, which offers a multitude of indoor activities and apparatuses for all ages.

Climbing walls, bouldering, children’s parkour, ninja courses, free fall zone and obstacle playground are some of the features at the Tingalpa facility.

Based on the existing facility the proposed facility is anticipated to operate seven-days a week from 9am-5pm all days except Fridays and Saturdays which have extended opening hours of 9am-8pm.

The Jungle Adventure Play centre at 31 Proprietary St in Tingalpa opened in 2020, a 6000 sqm space in total but 3000 sqm under roof.

It was a dream three years in the making for Wynnum couple Jana and Lachlan Walker, who thought of the idea after attending a bunch of children’s birthday parties.

Mrs Walker has previously said attractions are designed to help children build confidence and strength while still remaining challenging and fun

The Tingalpa facility also has a fully-licensed cafe and restaurant for the parents.

The owners of Jungle Adventure Play were contacted for comment.
