Delayed Costco opening contributes to traffic chaos at North Lakes
The development would be across two lots, at 47 and 51 Cook Court, both of which are currently owned by Stockland.
Cook Court is already a traffic nightmare with not only Costco, but Bunnings and the Fifth Ave Lifestyle Centre attracting thousands of shoppers to the dead-end street every week.
The application by Lithium did not include a traffic report.
The proposal is for 20 industrial units at 51 Cook Court and a further 15 units at number 47.
Each unit would contain a mezzanine area and gross floor area from 121 sqm to 480 sqm.
The site would be accessed from an existing driveway along 47 Cook Court, and has 81 on-site carparking spaces.
Land opposite from Lithium’s proposed warehouse development is government-owned and has previously been earmarked as a site for a future TAFE.
