Man smuggling David Beckham down his pants smells reach of justice
A serial fragrance thief who took a liking to an aftershave named after the famous English football star David Beckham has faced court for his pungent crimes.

A MAN who tried smuggling David Beckham aftershave down his pants at a chemist has received a suspended sentence.
Paul Wayne McCulloch, 35, pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing when he appeared at the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on October 14.

Police prosecutor Graham Turner said McCulloch was observed on October 21, 2018 at a North Lakes Chemist Warehouse stuffing the fragrance down the front of his pants before leaving without paying.
McCulloch was also observed at a chemist on March 25 this year stuffing a Mercedes fragrance down his pants before leaving without paying.

McCulloch, who was self-represented and appeared via video link from custody on other charges, did not contest the allegations.
He was sentenced to four months jail for each offence to be served concurrently, suspended over 12 months.
