Sip and paint? No. Sip and pour.
An emergency vet turned scent connoisseur is now taking ladies night to the next level, opening a new sip and pour experience in Moreton Bay, where you can sip wine and pour your own candles and decorations.
Owner of the candle shop Scented by Harry, Harry Scott-Rothera, started his first sip and pour candle making class just last Friday September 2, with the help of Kate from Simply Kate Headquarters (SKHQ) who designed North Lakes studio for the sessions.
“I have had a lot of my customers ask about making their own candles and haven’t had the courage to do so until recently,” Mr Scott-Rothera said.
“So I came together with my friend Katie who owns S.K.H.Q and opened a great new space.”
Mr Scott-Rothera said with the Candle Lab open, he hopes to encourage more customers learn about the art of being a chandler, experience a fun night out making candles and sipping wine.
“The Candle Lab is a space where you can come along for a candle experience, learning everything you need to know about the process of (being) a chandler.
The classes, on Flinders Pde, cater for about 10-16 people per session and cost $99 per person.
“Every guest will get a welcome drink and the option to BYO, while enjoying a cheese platter,” Mr Scott-Rothera said.
“I have created the space to suit all ages and to also be a space to host private parties, birthdays, hens nights, baby showers, etc.”
Customers could take their 60 hour candle creation home. They also qualify for 20 per cent off Scented by Harry products.
The sessions are currently available weekly through to October.
Bookings are available online.
