Beenleigh Magistrates Court heard it was about midnight when O’Sachy performed the dangerous manoeuvre in his car at Beal St, Meadowbrook.
Little did O’Sachy know, but there was a Polair helicopter hovering silently above, watching his every move.
Police intercepted O’Sachy a short distance away, where he denied any knowledge of the burnout, the court heard.
However, he had no answer to police pointing out the acrid stench of burnt rubber.
Police were shocked to see a two-year-old girl restrained in a child’s seat inside the car, while a woman in the back seat attempted to evade the officers before she was detained.
Upon her arrest, O’Sachy began shouting, “Police brutality”, as he ran towards her.
When he ignored instructions to stop, officers attempted to restrain O’Sachy, at which point he began waving his arms and ducking so the officers could not handcuff him.
He was eventually restrained.
The court heard his car has been impounded ever since at a cost of $1000 a month.
Magistrate Clare Kelly told O’Sachy she was “very concerned” he performed such a dangerous manoeuvre with a young child in the car.
“She doesn’t have a choice not to get in the car with you,” Ms Kelly said.
“Never put a child in that position ever again.”
O’Sachy was placed on a four-month, $400 good behaviour bond.
No convictions were recorded.
