USC Moreton Bay team to welcome you to new campus

These three faces will undoubtedly be the most recognisable on campus when USC Moreton Bay opens for student orientation on February 19.

These three faces will undoubtedly be the most recognisable on campus when USC Moreton Bay opens for orientation week on February 19.

Meet Kit Stewart, Kayla Thornhill and Kate Shipp – they are the USC Moreton Bay service centre team who will staff the university’s concierge desk just inside the front door.

“We are the first point of contact for anyone coming onto campus,” Kit explains.

They’ll be directing students to tutorial rooms and other visitors to various sections of the building. The trio will also be a point of contact for those having issues with IT and anything to do with programs and studies. If they can’t help, they will know who can.

Kit lives at Bald Hills and has watched the building take shape. She can’t wait until the campus opens for business

“I’m so excited to be there for the first week. It’s going to be amazing with all the students coming in,” Kit says.

“Students will make it their own space. I’m looking forward to seeing the looks on their faces when they come in and realise how great it is.

“A lot of the time, students know they need help and don’t know where to look for it and don’t know where to start. For the first little while, we’re their guide posts.”

The trio will be there every day, with at least one of them at the desk, 8am-6pm.
