Elimbah fatal crash: Woman charged with dangerous driving

A 22-year-old woman has been charged over a two-vehicle crash in the Moreton Bay region.

Police were called to Bigmor Drive in Elimbah about 7.30pm on March 24, after a silver Mitsubishi ASX allegedly collided with a silver Ford Falcon.

The driver of the Ford, a 59-year-old Elimbah man, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he died on April 7.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, the 22-year-old Elimbah woman, was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

The woman has been charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death whilst adversely affected by an intoxicating substance whilst excessively speed and did drive under the influence of liquor.

She is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 17.
