French & Mor, Albany Creek
IMAGINE a cabinet teeming with colourful cakes and pastries, baskets filled with European bread, and the smell of coffee and fresh flowers. You’re not in a Parisian cafe, but you could well be.
French and Mor is a delicious slice of Paris and the perfect place for a relaxed breakfast, long lunch or special occasion. The bakery, patisserie and high tea cafe has been open for almost nine years and owner Paul Jones has worked hard to create something special.
There are 15 varieties of cakes and sweet treats, exclusively from Le Bon Choix, and eight flavours of macarons.
Interestingly, Paul is not a sweet tooth. “I’m more savoury, which is probably a good thing,” he laughs.
The cafe’s modern French high tea expertly combines both with a selection of T2 teas and Elixir coffee.
“It’s all about colour and it’s different,” he says.
