Community Christmas events in the Moreton Bay Region for whole family

If you’ve been too busy to head along to a community Christmas event so far this festive season, don’t despair, there’s still plenty of opportunities between now and Christmas Eve.

If you’ve been too busy to head along to a community Christmas event so far this festive season, don’t despair, there’s still plenty of opportunities between now and Christmas Eve.

Grab the family, a picnic rug or chairs, and bring your best singing voice along to one of these Christmas events.

Woodford Christmas Carnival

December 14, 5pm

Archer St, Woodford

Christmas parade with entertainment, rides, jumping castle, face painting, food trucks, markets stalls and Santa.

Mango Hill Christmas carols

December 15, 4-9pm

Danzy Buchanan Park, Mango Hill

Family games, a free giant slide and jumping castle, baby animal farm, live Christmas carols from 5.30pm, food vendor tents, an appearance by Santa, and fireworks at 8.30pm.

Sesame Lane Community Christmas Party

December 15, 9-11am

Sesame Lane Dakabin, corner Old Gympie and Whitehorse roads, Dakabin

Jumping castle, Santa, bacon and egg rolls and centre tours. Visit sesamelane.com.au

Citipointe Christmas Lights Show

December 15, 5-8.30pm

Citipointe Church, 166 Morayfield Rd

Entertainment, food stalls, balloon making, jumping castle, children’s rides and activities, face painting, and Christmas characters.

Beachmere Community Carols

December 15, 4-7pm

Clayton Park, Moreton Tce, Beachmere

Sing-along concert, community Christmas lights winner reveal, community performances, gift and craft stalls, and appearance by Santa. Free face painting and treasure hunt.

Christmas Lights Boat Parade

December 15, 7pm

Pacific Harbour Marina, Bribie Island

Decorated boats will make their way along the Pacific Harbour canals to view Christmas lights displays. Santa and his helpers from VMR Bribie will depart by boat from 1.30- 5pm to hand out lollies to children. The procession will gather around the main canal adjacent to Pacific Harbour Marina at 6.30pm.

Pine Rivers Christmas Carols

Dolphins Carols by Candelight

December 23, 5-9pm

Dolphin Stadium

Enjoy entertainment from Deana Peher, Tenori, Rhydian Lewis and the Queensland Show Choir. There will even be a visit from Santa Claus and fireworks. Entry is a gold coin donation to support local community groups.

Carols on the Lawn

December 16, 6.30pm

165 King St, Caboolture

This event is at St Laurence’s Anglican Church Caboolture and will include a sausage sizzle and traditional Christmas carols by candlelight.

Brisbane Road to Bethlehem

December 17-19, from 6.20pm

337 Old Gympie Rd, Dakabin

A wonder-filled walk-through story of the first Christmas. There will also be food trucks, kids space, live music and markets.

Christmas Carnival

December 22, noon-late

Sandstone Point Hotel

Market and food stalls, children’s rides, live music, entertainment, Christmas carols, fireworks and a visit from Santa. Tickets are $5.50 adults, $2.50 children (3-12 years)

Carols in the Park

December 23, from 5pm

Jacaranda Park, Albany Creek

This event is hosted by Good Shepherd Baptist Church with free activities, rides, games, free sausage sizzle and plenty of carols.
