IT’S ALREADY creating ripples around the Moreton Bay Region, so expect a wave of excitement when AquaSplash opens for business on November 3.
The massive inflatable waterpark will be a star attraction on the Redcliffe Peninsula foreshore, guaranteed to bring in tourists from across southeast Queensland.
Division 6 Councillor Koliana Winchester says the park will be a major attraction for Redcliffe during summer.
“For every southeast Queensland family who has memories of holidaying on the Peninsula, this is an excuse to relive some nostalgia and make new memories with the kids,” she says.
“This project is a key component of our Redcliffe Foreshore Master Plan and Activation Strategy, which reflects calls from residents, visitors and businesses for new opportunities along our beaches and seaside parks.
“Overwhelmingly locals, businesses and visitors told us that they want an inflatable water park in Redcliffe, so I think AquaSplash tickets will be the hottest stocking fillers this Christmas.”
AquaSplash CEO Matthew Devine says the park is great value family fun, with tickets starting at $15.
“We’ll be opening in time for school break-up parties and Christmas celebrations, so we’re expecting some pretty big crowds,” he says.
“We want those visitors to have the best possible experience on the Peninsula, so we’re very keen to work with established local retailers to provide food and entertainment options for fatigued kids after hours playing on AquaSplash.
“We’re also hoping to recruit all local lifesavers to staff the park, so if you have lifesaving experience and want to make some good money over the Christmas break, get in touch.”
