Three North Brisbane men have been charged with trespassing after they were found at a warehouse loading dock, leaving behind oil and valve marks, rubbish and urinating over the property.
Bradley Fisher (21) and brothers, Brodie (18) and Joshua Cecchini (21), pleaded guilty in Pine Rivers Magistrate Court today to one count of trespassing each.
The court heard that on May 8 at 4.26pm, police were conducting patrols and located the group behind a wrap packing business in Brendale.
“There had been reports of hooning in the area, police found them at the loading docks leaving oil and valve marks in the cement, leaving rubbish behind and urinating,” police prosecutor Mardi Nowitzki said.
The police officers had originally been in pursuit of a group of individuals who were reported to be hooning in the area, the court heard.
“They were not the individuals that were hooning in the area.”
Fisher and the two Cecchini brother’s lawyer, Andrew Stewart, said his client’s had a valid reason to be at the loading dock at the time.
“Joshua’s car had a brake problem so they stopped in there to fix it, when police showed up,” Mr Stewart said.
Magistrate Annette Hennessey said that group had a limited history of a similar offending.
“It seems you were not the people the police were primarily looking for,” Magistrate Hennessy said.
The group received individual fines of $400, with no convictions recorded.
