Teen’s tantrum over T-shirt delivery lands him in court
A man threw a tantrum in the middle of a post office, smashing a glass counter and leaving staff so frightened they set off a hold-up alarm – all because of a T-shirt. Now he’s appeared in court.

Russell Bradley Rule, 19, furiously erupted after his Australia Post-delivered package was opened by someone else.
Inside the package, he found his new shirt was dirty.
Australia Post staff at Caboolture Square were forced to set off a hold-up alarm around 10am on October 4, 2019, when he confronted them.
The Caboolture Magistrate’s Court heard Rule slammed his hands so forcefully onto a glass display counter that it shattered.
“My new shirt was all dirty that I put on Afterpay, which I hadn’t even paid yet,” he told the court.
“I was angry … which I think is understandable.”
Magistrate Andrew Hackett said the drama was an “eruption of anger”.
Rule pleaded guilty to wilful damage, was fined $250 for the and ordered to pay $478.50 restitution for the damaged glass counter.
