A teen’s alleged crime spree, which resulted in a dramatic police chase, has ended in a hospital north of Brisbane, where he allegedly spat in a worker’s face.
At about 10.50pm on May 15, police were patrolling along Lower King St, Caboolture, when they checked a silver Nissan Navara.
It is alleged the vehicle was bearing registrations plates that were reported stolen between May 14 and 15, from a Carnarvon Drive, Beerwah address.
Police alleged the car was driven onto the Bruce Highway where it crashed, and a passenger fled the vehicle before being caught by police.
The driver, a 19-year-old Caboolture man, allegedly continued to drive the car across a nearby field and ended up bogging it before being arrested and taken to Caboolture Hospital for treatment.
While at the hospital, the 19-year-old Caboolture man allegedly spat in the face of a security guard.
He was charged with dangerous driving, evade police, stealing, receiving stolen property, unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, possession of a dangerous drug, obstruct police, causing a public nuisance and serious assault.
He is set to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 13.
