The devastated workmates of fatal motorcycle crash victim Ryan Hamilton have been left reeling after his tragic death at the weekend.
Mr Hamilton, of Rothwell, was riding a black motorcycle along Pumicestone Rd Friday evening when he hit a drain. Sadly, he died at the scene.
For much of the past seven years Mr Hamilton had worked for Deception Bay-based tree removal company Hi-Tech Tree Services.
Business owner Liam Hanna today said team was devastated by the loss of the recently qualified arborist and “really good young man”.
“He was just a really, really genuine, decent young man,” Mr Hanna said.
“He was a hard-worker with a good work ethic.
“If there was someone you could rely on, it was Ryan.”
Mr Hanna said Mr Hamilton had worked “on and off” for the company for the past seven years, and completed his arborist apprenticeship in April.
“He did it with flying colours,” Mr Hanna said.
“He was a true arborist … he really did love it.”
Mr Hanna said he and his team had taken the week off work to grieve for their work make, who he said was especially close to foreman Tony Loy.
“He’s especially broken up … Tony said he was like a son.
“He lived life to the full … he was a happy-go-lucky sort of guy,” Mr Hannah said of Mr Hamilton — whose social media profiles paint a picture of a popular man who loved fishing and riding his motorbike and his heartbroken partner Bethany Cadman, who also paid a moving tribute to Mr Hamilton.
