Ryan Cowan: Tributes flow for popular Arana Hills man

Tributes are pouring in for 24-year-old Brisbane man Ryan Cowan, better known as Sunny, who was killed in a horror motorcycle crash at Elimbah.

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in the Moreton Bay region has been described as “human sunshine” who was “taken far too soon”.

There has been an outpouring of grief from friends and family of 24-year-old Ryan Cowan, trying to come to terms with the shock news.

Emergency services were called to the single-vehicle motorcycle incident at Elimbah on Saturday morning.

It’s understood the Arana Hills man was travelling along Simpson Rd in Elimbah at around 11.30am when his motorcycle left the road and crashed into a tree.

Paramedics responded to the incident but Mr Cowan died at the scene.

A man who claimed to be at the crash said online “heaps” of Mr Cowan’s family and friends were present at the crash.

“His brother was with him and others tried to help,” he wrote.

“They tried so hard, 25-30 minutes of CPR on the poor dude.”

Tributes are pouring in on social media for the 24-year-old better known as “Sunny”.

Ximena Uzabeaga wrote “Our boy sun, the life of our family, the one always smiling, we will forever treasure and cherish our time with you.”

“My sons adored their cousin, as did their Daddy and I.

“Thank you for making such an impact in our lives. Love you forever and always, until the day comes we are there with you.

“Fly high up there and never lose your sparkle.”

Jake Jarvis wrote “RIP watching you grow up was never a dull moment always in our hearts.”

Jess Keddie said he had a “heart of sunshine, another one gone too soon.”

“It’s still so hard to believe, he is going to be dearly missed,” Linda May Graham wrote.

Another woman wrote “RIP mate, I seen first hand today how many people love you, you will be sadly missed by all.”

“I still don’t believe the news Sunny and I don’t really have words. Taken too soon mate,” Levi Jeffries said.

Investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the crash.
