WHEN The Courier-Mail and Quest Community News put out a call for Queensland’s coolest cat, hundreds of people sent us photos of their purr-fect pet and the cat that got the cream was rock star kitty Millie.

Kris Hooley’s pet cat Millie is not only a cool cat but is a bit of a character around town as well.
Ms Hooley, of Scarborough, north of Brisbane, is actually allergic to cats but Millie is a Devon Rex, a short-haired, low grooming breed that Ms Hooley can tolerate.
“She is an anti-sneeze cat,” she said.
Millie, 5, has been part of the family since she was a kitten and is very spoiled.
“She walks on a lead at the boat harbour, goes to the beach and wears a hat in summer,” Ms Hooley said.
“She has a bit of a following with the local people.
“She thinks she is a dog more than anything. She digs in the yard with our dog Katy, a jack russell.
“They get on really well. They are inseparable most of the time.”
Ms Hooley said Katy was very protective of Millie when they were out walking and other dogs approached.
“She is also a typical cat, likes to sit on the fence and watch the neighbours.”
