Construction is wrapping up on Burrito Bar’s first drive-through location at the north Brisbane suburb of Griffin, where the fully-licensed Mexican restaurant is set to offer both dine-in and takeaway from early March.

The project is the culmination of seven years of rapid growth as delicious, authentic Mexican street food propelled one small, Brisbane-based eatery to a franchise powerhouse, with more than 30 locations across the country.

While Griffin residents can look forward to the usual menu items, such as sizzling fajitas and crispy wraps, there’ll be more on offer at this location than ever before.

The drive-thru aspect of the restaurant has been in the works for some time now, according to Burrito Bar Marketing Manager Paige Cloughessy.

“We have invested heavily in the latest kitchen technology to enable us to cook the high quality food we are famous for and get it out to customers faster than ever before,” Ms Cloughessy said.

“We have then simply been waiting for the right time and place to bring this dream to fruition, and with Griffin growing so rapidly, it seems like the perfect location.”

In addition to the convenience of Burrito Bar’s first ever drive-through, sister restaurant Smokin Ribs & Burgers will be setting up its first brick and mortar eatery at the same location.

“Smokin Ribs & Burgers is our exciting new restaurant brand and will be joining us right next to Burrito Bar in Griffin to really provide customers with a diverse range of quality restaurant options in a single location,” Ms Cloughessy said.

Smokin Ribs & Burgers launched as one of the nation’s first “virtual” restaurants, offering Southern style American cooking exclusively via delivery partners such as UberEats and DoorDash.
