Man charged over bus stop attack on 81-year-old at Kippa-Ring
Police have charged a 42-year-old man over the assault of an 81-year-old man as he waited for a bus, north of Brisbane.

Police have charged a 42-year-old Clontarf man over the assault of an 81-year-old man as he waited for a bus.
Police allege around 2.10pm on Wednesday an 81-year-old man had a short conversation with another younger man, not known to him, at a bus stop on Anzac Ave, Kippa-Ring
before the elderly man was struck in the head, knocking him to the ground.
The younger man then allegedly left the scene on foot.
The 81-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital soon after with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from Redcliffe Criminal Investigation Branch on Friday charged a 42-year-old man
with one count of serious assault (person over 60).
He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
