Police have charged a 14-year-old girl for allegedly stealing a packet of cigarettes from a business north of Brisbane and attacking the man behind the counter.

A 14-year-old girl from Murrumba Downs has been arrested after surrendering herself to police shortly after it is alleged she committed a robbery at the business on Lower King St, Caboolture.

At about 9.30pm on April 11, the girl allegedly climbed across the counter and attacked a man working at the business.

It is further alleged that she stole cigarettes before running from the store.

Police found the girl a short distance away where she surrendered herself.

She was charged with robbery with violence.

It is also alleged that sometime between 11pm on April 3 and the early hours of April 4 the same girl stole a wallet from a car which had various debit cards, a gift card, and cash in it.

The car was parked outside a Goodfellows Rd, Murrumba Downs, address.

It is further alleged that one of the cards was then used unlawfully to make purchases at various locations in Kallangur, Bellmere, Lawnton, and Caboolture.

The 14-year-old girl has been further charged with unlawful entry to a vehicle, stealing, receiving stolen property and seven fraud offences.

She was refused bail and will appear in the Caboolture Children’s court at a later date.
