Police arrest Caboolture man over gun, drugs, stealing charges

Police have hunted down and arrested a man north of Brisbane after he was alleged to have threatened others with a gun, possessed dangerous drugs and stole from various local businesses.

Police have hunted down and arrested a man north of Brisbane after he was alleged to have threatened others with a gun, possessed dangerous drugs and stole from various local businesses.

The Caboolture man, 31, was charged with multiple property offences alleged to have occurred between June 29 and August 28.

On Monday, August 28 about 5.30pm, police arrested the man on Lynfield Drive in Caboolture after they found him with an allegedly stolen car.

A searched was alleged to have found a stolen trailer, drugs, a stolen camper and a firearm.

The man was arrested and charged with three counts of stealing, one count each of receiving tainted property, possession of a dangerous drug, possession of drug utensils and possession of a firearm.

On Tuesday, August 29, police executed a search warrant at the same address where they found a vehicle reported stolen on August 4.

Police also recovered property alleged to have been stolen from two Morayfield businesses and a Caboolture business.

They will also allege that on July 2 the man threatened people known to him with a firearm on Amberton St in Caboolture.

He was further charged with four counts of break and enter, six counts of receiving stolen property, three counts of stealing, one count of driving while disqualified and one count of threatening violence.

He was scheduled to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on October 13.
