Since then Mr Purrer has shared an update on their condition.

“They are all well in hospital … as well as can be,” Mr Purrer said.

“Thank you God! Things could have been much worse.

“The outpouring of support has melted our hearts … please continue to give your prayers in their recovery.

“And I can’t thank everyone enough for the kids words, prayers and offers of support. Really God Bless.

“I’m starting this fundraiser at the recommendation of the community and there requests to my local MP Ali King.”

Mr Purrer said any donations were greatly appreciated.

“We are just so happy and feel so blessed with everyone’s thoughts and prayers,” he said.

“Thanks for everyone’s support and love.”

The 95-year-old driver of the vehicle was also taken to the Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition on Monday, as a precaution.

QAS officer in charge Jarred Thorne said a total of eight ambulance units, including critical care and high acuity paramedics, attended the scene.

Police are still investigating and no charges have been laid.
