Nathan Leigh Livermore guilty of four counts of sexual assault

A Moreton Bay man left a woman feeling “violated” after he let himself into her house and performed a series of gross acts, a court has heard.

A Moreton Bay man let himself into a woman’s house and performed a series of disgusting acts on her, including touching her inside her shorts and trying to assault her with her own sex toy, a court has heard.

Lawnton man Nathan Leigh Livermore, 33, pleaded guilty in Brisbane District Court on Wednesday to four counts of sexual assault.

The court heard all offences occurred at a Keperra address near his former residence on April 10 last year.

All offences were committed against the same female victim.

His gross assaults included improper touching of the woman, trying to get the woman to touch him inappropriately, and trying to put his hand inside her shorts.

Livermore asked if she wanted to “bang” but when she declined, he apologised and left.

The court heard the woman told Livermore to stop for the duration of the offending, which left her feeling “violated and scared”.

He was arrested later that day and spent 55 days remanded in pre-sentence custody before he was granted Supreme Court bail.

Defence counsel Gerry Elmore told the court his client has been adhering to strict bail conditions including reporting to police on weekdays and being under curfew.

He said Livermore wanted to train as a landscaper to become an Indigenous ranger and had a good work history.

Judge David Byrne QC said Livermore’s criminal history showed he was a persistent “nuisance” and that his sexual assaults were “disgraceful”.

He sentenced him to 15 months’ imprisonment suspended for two years after time served, and placed him on two years’ probation.

Livermore would report to the Chermside (Brisbane North) office of probation and parole.
