Motorbike rider dies days after bike and ute collide near Caboolture showgrounds

Police have renewed calls for information about a collision between a motorbike and a ute at Caboolture last week, after the 35-year-old rider died from his injuries.

A 35-year-old man has died following a crash near the Caboolture Showgrounds last week.

At 2.15pm on Tuesday, May 5, the man’s motorcycle and white Ford Ranger utility collided while he was travelling north on Beerburrum Rd.

The rider, from Caboolture, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition, but police announced this morning that he had passed away.

The 40-year-old male driver from Petrie and his 28-year-old male passenger from Warner were not physically injured in the crash.

Forensic Crash Unit officers are asking anyone who may witnessed the crash, or who may have dashcam footage, to contact police.
