Moreton Police were out in force these school holidays as part of Operation Sierra Cold Snap – but just because the holidays are over does not mean the police are packing up.
The operation launched on June 29 and will run right through to the end of next week.
Police conducted 600 RBTS, issued 80 traffic infringements and arrested eight people for allegedly drink driving.
It comes after police were forced to stop static roadside operations during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
SCROLL DOWN FOR THE FULL LIST OF ALLEGED DRINK DRIVERS
Acting Inspector Anthony Green of the Moreton North Patrol Group said so far police had been targeting the Fatal Five – distraction, speed, drink/drug driving, fatigue and seatbelts.
But from Monday police will also target school zones – looking for those parking illegally and speeding in school zones.
