The faces of Queensland's shocking road toll

A 40-year-old North Lakes man was arrested and charged with drink driving after allegedly returning a breath alcohol concentration almost four times the legal limit.

Officer-in-charge of Deception Bay Road Policing Unit Garth Peake said police spotted the man allegedly swerving along Scarborough Rd, Scarborough, at about 9.10pm on June 19.

Sgt Peake said the man allegedly slurred his words when police spoke to him.

The driver allegedly told police he had consumed four mid-strength beers.

After a positive road side breath test the driver was taken to Redcliffe Police Station for further tests.
