A court north of Brisbane has heard allegations that a Morayfield woman committed 166 fraud offences, over a nine month period in 2023.

Sara-Jane Cann-Vaughan, 27, appeared in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on March 5, 2024, charged with 166 counts of fraud.

Police allege Vaughan committed 166 fraud offences between March 24, 2023 and December 18, 2023 in Morayfield.

Magistrate Kurt Fowler told the court it was likely that these charges will progress to the Brisbane District Court.

Representing herself, Cann-Vaughan, born in Mackay, told the court she was waiting for her legal aid to be processed.

Mr Fowler adjourned the matter for committal mention on April 24, 2024.
