Libraries will be temporarily closed for two weeks starting from Monday March 23.
Strathpine and Caboolture Customer Service Centres to remain open but Redcliffe Customer Service Centre, at Redcliffe Library, will close in line with the library.
Acting Mayor Mike Charlton said Council programs have been suspended and some facilities closed to minimise opportunities for the virus to spread.
“Moreton Bay Region is not immune to the Coronavirus pandemic, but we must all do whatever it takes to slow the spread of this aggressive virus,” he said.
“As such we have closed most of our venues and are awaiting advice from the federal government on the operation of swimming pools and aquatic centres.”
“Council will continue to take the best advice from Federal and State Governments until the situation is brought under control, and keep ratepayers informed of the latest updates.”
