Plans have been lodged to build a 153-place childcare centre with large outdoor areas, on the site of an under-construction Moreton Bay estate. SEE THE PLANS

What makes Australia’s highest rated childcare centre so good?

A proposed childcare centre to cater for over 150 kids is set to service a rapidly growing Moreton Bay suburb.

Loney Bell Capital Pty Ltd has lodged an application to build a 153 place childcare centre at 16 Robbs Road, Morayfield.

The childcare centre would be built on a 3,130sqm site and form part of Stage 1 in Ausbuild’s Montrose residential estate, which is currently under construction.

The proposed childcare would have a gross floor area of 881sqm and be an L-shaped building, opening up to a large outdoor space for children’s activities.

“Its opening is orientated to the north-west, providing an abundance of natural light onto the expansive outdoor space providing unimpeded breezes into the verandas and indoor spaces,” the application reads.

“Outdoor play areas are also located to the south of the building.

“There are several types of indoor spaces to cater to a range of age groups, with features specifically tailored to the needs of each age group such as a bottle prep room as well as sleep rooms for the 0–24 months age group.

“Amenities together with art prep rooms are located in between classrooms.

“A veranda wraps around the buildings, providing outdoor undercover shelter.”

31 car parks are proposed and the site is already serviced by the necessary water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure together with the appropriate electricity and telecommunication services

Montrose is an AusBuild estate, with 130 residential lots across stages 1 and 2.

Development approval for stages 1 and 2 was granted by Council most recently on May 21, 2022
