The court heard the 43-year-old former teacher committed the 12 offences between October 7, 2020 and August 4, 2021.

“The issue at hand is the defendants history,” police prosecutor Sergeant Vicky Kennedy said.

“The highest criminal offences is the 0.56 grams of methamphetamine and possess cannabis charges.”

A schoolteacher of 18 years, Kilshaw, the court heard, was suspended from teaching in 2019 due to previous drug-related charges.

Kilshaw’s lawyer, Jarrod Bell, said his client was taking steps to resolve her drug issues.

“I’m not going to stand here today and pretend like everything is perfect, we’re not there yet,” Mr Bell said.

“She is taking this seriously.”

Magistrate Annette Hennessey said Kilshaw had a long list of offences.

“There’s quite of a lot of offending here,” Ms Hennessey said.

“It’s obvious you have had drug misuse problems.”

Kilshaw was convicted, fined $400 for breaching bail terms, and fined $600 for drug driving.

She was disqualified from driving for three months.

For the remaining drug-related charges, Kilshaw was given a probation order of nine months, with special conditions to engage in drug counselling.
