Tributes are flowing for a Moreton Bay man killed in a motorcycle crash at the weekend.
Shane Rose, 36, of Kallangur, was riding his motorcycle when he was involved in a horrific crash with a truck.
Mr Rose’s motorcycle and the truck collided about 5.45pm at the intersection of Anzac Ave and Yebri Str, Kallangur.
He was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition in the afternoon but died as a result of his injuries on Sunday morning.
His death has rocked loved ones, including friend Sarah Davie.
“Shane was, is, and always will be an all-round genuine friend,” Ms Davie said.
Ms Davie said Mr Rose worked on the new Cross River Rail tunnels as a steel layer.
“He was laying the steel reinforcing before the concrete would get poured for the tunnels,” she said.
Ms Davie said he would go out of his way to help others including his brother, dragracer Nathan Rose in his endeavours for his Vacationer Drag Racing Team.
“He was family to everyone,” Ms Davie said.
“One of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.
“The one that always went out of his way to help others, never asking for anything in return.
“Just a true, genuine, caring, kind, loving soul, one in a million, he will be missed by so many.
“I’m absolutely devastated it still doesn’t seem real.”
His brother, Nathan, posted on Facebook
“RIP my little brother miss you lots and lots mate,” he said.
“So hard to think I can never talk to you again.
“So much going through my head right now, love you mate.”
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision from the area to come forward.
