An alleged arsonist will face court after being charged with lighting a fire at a southeast Queensland caravan park on the weekend.
A 32-year-old Kallangur man, David Walllin, has been charged with arson offences after an investigation into a fire at a Kallangur caravan park on Saturday, November 4, and another string of fires from June this year.
Police were called to a Goodfellows Rd property about 12.30am on Saturday morning after reports of a caravan on fire under a carport.
Emergency services quickly extinguished the blaze but there was extensive damage to the vehicle and carport.
Detectives alleged a 32-year-old Kallangur man was responsible for lighting other fires in the region dating back to June this year.
Mr Wallin was arrested nearby. He was charged with one count each of arson of a motor vehicle and attempted arson, two counts each of setting fire to vegetation and endangering property by fire.
He was due to appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today, November 6.
