A new childcare centre is planning to stand out from its competitors by offering daily meals by in-house chefs, yoga classes, ateliers, bike tracks and more, to deliver a new take on little ones’ learning experience.
To meet the increasing demand for childcare services in the growing Morayfield and Caboolture catchments, Edge Early Learning has begun construction on a state of the art facility at 1 Laver Street, Morayfield, opposite Morayfield East State School.
Edge Early Learning CEO Annie Bryce said in-house chefs would provide nutritious meals daily, including, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon snacks, all served in a communal setting to encourage socialisation and promote wellness.
“Mindfulness is an important value at Edge, with educators teaching children how to regulate emotions through activities such as yoga, which supports learning milestones and develops new skills,” Ms Bryce said.
“Our philosophy aims to ensure that our children have access to safe and inspiring environments, create meaning about the world around them, experience new understandings, and develop a love of learning, while fostering relationships between educators and their peers.
“With the popularity and growing demand in this northern Brisbane region, Edge identified an opportunity to develop another centre that would meet the needs of the community and demand for access to quality early childhood education in Morayfield.”
The centre will feature modern spaces and resources, including purpose-built ateliers and other creative spaces.
Outdoor areas will also be equipped with bike tracks, sandpits, water play areas, climbing forts and veggie gardens.
Due to open mid-2023, the centre will have capacity to cater for 114 children per day, offer extended trading hours from 6.30am to 6.30pm on Monday to Friday and provide over 30 jobs.
The centre will cater for children aged six weeks to preschool age.
Ms Bryce said Edge Early Learning’s North Harbour centre in Burpengary East has been well received by the local community.
“The demand in the area has proven high, with families happy by the service offering Edge are providing.
“There is also a great sense of connection established within the North Harbour community.
“Most recently, Edge partnered with Comlink, who bring elderly residents from around the community into the centre to connect with the children by playing games and sharing stories.”
