How family-run Seema With Love boutique stands out in North Lakes

A new family-run boutique store north of Brisbane is hoping to stand out after relocating and boasting a range where there is a “story behind every product”.

New homemade boutique shops opens in Moreton

Stunning wallflowers, designer dresses and flat-burning candles headline how a Moreton Bay family is making their new boutique shop north of Brisbane stand out.

Seema With Love opened its doors at 7/1751 Anzac Ave, North Lakes Junction on November 5 after relocating across town from Chermside.

The store, run by Seema Sajnendra, husband Chris and daughter Hannah, provides a skin care and designer fashion range.

Their products include handmade and hand-poured soy wax candles, Australian dried floral arrangements and wallflowers, vegan skincare products and dresses.

Mrs Sajnendra said the shop aimed to bring together their Christian love and values with their service and homemade products.

She said they relocated the shop to North Lakes to be closer to home while still being able to service their Chermside customers.

“We have very personal connections with our customers, we look after them,” Mrs Sajnendra said.

“I want my customers when they walk in my store to feel safe, welcomed and feel like they’re coming into my home.

“Everything you see in the store is unique.

“I try to make the small dried flowers in store.

“It’s not easy because you run the store and you go home and create it.

“I believe that candles are something that bring hope and light to people.

“People who get stressed can light up a candle and find it relaxing.”

The Sajnendra’s ran a pharmacy for 25 years before starting the new business.

“We sold the pharmacy and I was at home looking at the dried flowers and I wanted to make something beautiful for my home,” Mrs Sajnendra said.

“I started to make that and some candles for myself because I feel it’s beautiful and the light brings joy and calmness.

“It’s frustrating when you pay so much money and it doesn’t burn nicely or gives you a headache.

“We’ve put all natural fragrance in it so it doesn’t give headaches.

“Safe for pets, kids, people with asthma or anything like that.

“There’s a story behind every product.”

Mrs Sajnendra said they also planned to start a local delivery service.
