Family of Mt Mee alleged murder victim Sam Wilcox to pay final farewells on May 17
The family of a young man allegedly brutally murdered at Mt Mee north of Brisbane will lay him to rest this week. Friends and colleagues have also paid tribute to the loved Villanova graduate.

The family and friends of a young Brisbane man who was allegedly tortured and murdered at a rural property north of Brisbane will gather to say their farewells this week.
Samuel Harry Wilcox was allegedly murdered by couple Bella-Louise Rose Scheibel, 21, and 23-year-old Cooper Anthony William Bunney at their property at Mount Mee starting on April 29.
Mr Wilcox, 23, was taken to hospital on the evening of May 1 but died from his injuries two days later.
He will be farewelled by his family and friends at a service at Coorparoo on May 17 as they try to come to terms with the horrible incident.
Mr Wilcox attended Villanova College at Coorparoo and was also believed to have been a registered nurse.
One former student, who attended Villanova College in the same grade as Mr Wilcox, said he was well known throughout his year level.
“He was a bit cheeky and a person who loved having a laugh,” he said.
He also said Mr Wilcox was a popular student and everyone who knew him was extremely sad to hear what had happened.
Two days after his death a tribute was also posted on the Nurses and Midwives Memorial Page Australia.
“Rest in Peace Samuel. Thank you for your service to nursing. Condolences to your family, friends and colleagues,” the post said.
Ms Scheibel has been charged with 10 offences, including murder, common assault, deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit indictable offence, grievous bodily harm, observations or recordings in breach of privacy genital or anal region, serious assault of police officer, torture, wounding and unlawful possession of weapons.
Mr Bunney is facing nine charges including murder, common assault, deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit indictable offence, grievous bodily harm, observations or recordings in breach of privacy genital or anal region, torture, wounding and unlawful possession of weapons.
They are yet to enter a plea.
