Shocking footage has emerged of a violent roadside incident between four people, where rocks were believed to have been thrown and metal poles used as weapons, in a suburb north of Brisbane.
The expletive-laden incident caught on tape, and posted in a local community group, happened around 10.40pm at First Ave, Woorim on Bribie Island.
A nearby resident said two men appeared to be searching for someone before the altercation with two women.
“(There was) basically two women walking, who seemed to already have weapons on hand, a red commodore pulled up quickly and they were obviously known to each other,” the resident said.
“The blokes searching for a guy, things got heated, looked like maybe red shirt pushed the woman before she threw what appeared to be a rock, you can hear the impact when it hit the both of them.
“I definitely wasn’t intervening … the women were extremely intoxicated and those guys were big.”
A Queensland Police spokesman said they were aware of the incident.
“No one has been charged. Anyone with information or vision of the incident is urged to contact police,” he said.
