SOUTHEAST Queensland’s newest inflatable water park is on track to open early next month.
Aquasplash Business Development Manager Matt Devine said it was “all going really well”, despite weather in recent weeks being less than ideal.
The park is expected to open at Pelican Park, Clontarf, north of Brisbane, on November 3.
Mr Devine, who previously operated an inflatable water park at the Gold Coast, said he expected the opening day to be a sell out.
“We have had a heap of bookings and a lot of interest from schools,” he said.
So far 13 local lifeguards have been employed and Mr Devine said there would be many more.
Mr Devine said the water park would feature many of the obstacles used at the Gold Coast attraction with a few new ones.
There will be a ninja racetrack, with two 35m long courses side-by-side for people to race against each other.
“We will also be installing what we believe to be the largest on water swing (in Australia) and of course our giant slide,” Mr Devine said.
The water park will cater for 120 people an hour.
