Mark Donald Cougan, of Kippa-Ring, spent three months in hospital after flipping his car on Beams Road, on February 13.
He appeared in Redcliffe Magistrates Court today and pleaded guilty to one charge of driving while under the influence of ice.
The court heard that police, fire and paramedics were called to the crash at Boondall at about 4pm – where they found a Honda Jazz upside down.
Cougan was taken to hospital with injuries.

Further tests determined he was under the influence of drugs, including meth.
The court heard Cougan ended up spending three months in hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash and has no recollection of the crash.
It was also revealed Cougan had a heart condition, that required a valve replacement.
Magistrate Leanne Scoines stated it was a serious crash.
“The vehicle was found upside down and caused significant harm to you and placed the community at risk as well,” she said.
“I would think meth would be the last thing you would be taking with a heart condition.”
Cougan was fined $350 and disqualified from driving for six months.
No conviction was recorded.
