$32 million warehouse to create 100 local jobs when opened
The open date for a new Bunnings Warehouse, set to bring 100 new jobs to one of the fastest growing regions in South East Queensland, has been revealed after facing delays.

Bunnings has confirmed Bunnings Caboolture is expected to open at the beginning of 2023, later then the originally planned opening later this year.
The new Bunnings, valued at $32 million is expected to create more than 100 jobs for local residents and will include the main warehouse, outdoor nursery, timber trade sales area, cafe and playground.
It will span more than 13,000 square metres and have parking for over 400 cars.
Margaret Walford, Regional Operations Manager said the new Bunnings would provide greater convenience to local residents living in the growing area of Caboolture and surrounding suburbs, and complement existing stores located in the Moreton Bay Council area.
“The opening will be celebrated with a range of events and in store activities,” Ms Walford said.
“Locals are encouraged to keep an eye out for details closer to the store opening.”
They said some delays were experienced due to COVID-19 related challenges and wet weather, however the project will be completed soon after the previously announced time frame.
Initially, the centre was planned to open in the first half of 2022.
The new Bunnings forms part of the $80 million retail precinct at the Big Fish business park, on Pumicestone Road.
Eildon have a big vision for the 15ha site, which is also home to the Big Fish Tavern.
A Caltex service station and McDonald’s were built at the complex in 2018 and 2020.
Plans for a shopping centre, which will be anchored by Coles and Chemist Warehouse and a Red Rooster have also been approved.
Coles has started advertising for staff.
Further plans for a PetStock retail centre and veterinary service was also lodged with Moreton Bay Regional Council in August 2021.
The massive centre will service not only the growing Caboolture region but also the future residents of Caboolture West – a satellite city set to be home to close to 70,000 people within the next 40 years.
